Shipping Policy- Pulled Wool Saddle Pads

At The Golden Horse LLC, we take pride in creating handmade pulled wool saddle pads and want to ensure each pad reaches its new owner safely. Please review our shipping policies before placing an order.
Shipping Carrier
All saddle pads are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS).
We select the appropriate USPS shipping service based on the package size, weight, destination, and available shipping options.
Shipping Costs
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed upon.
Shipping rates are calculated individually based on the size, weight, destination, and insurance requirements of each package.
A shipping quote will be provided before the final payment is collected. We do not currently offer flat-rate or free shipping.
Processing & Shipping Times
Ready-made saddle pads will typically be shipped within 1–3 business days after full payment has been received.
Custom saddle pads will typically be shipped within 1–3 business days after the pad has been completed and the remaining balance, including shipping costs, has been paid in full.
Business days exclude weekends and federal holidays.
Please note that processing time does not include the time required to create a custom saddle pad.
Shipping and delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Once a package has been accepted by USPS, delivery times are subject to the carrier’s schedule, weather conditions, holidays, and other circumstances outside our control.
Shipping Insurance
Every saddle pad is insured for its full purchase value before shipment.
We believe in protecting both our customers and the time and craftsmanship invested in each handmade pad.
The cost of shipping insurance is included in the shipping quote provided to the customer.
Insurance coverage and claims are subject to USPS terms, conditions, eligibility requirements, and coverage limitations.
Tracking Information
Tracking information will be provided for every shipped order.
Once your saddle pad has been shipped, we will send you the tracking number so you can follow its progress through USPS.
Please allow time for tracking information to update after the package has been accepted by the carrier.
Lost or Damaged Packages
We take care in packaging each saddle pad to help protect it during transportation. However, shipping issues can occasionally occur.
If your package is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at the.goldenhorse@gmail.com.
For damaged packages, we ask that you retain the original packaging and provide photographs of the packaging, shipping label, and damaged product. This information may be necessary to support an insurance claim.
The Golden Horse LLC will handle the USPS insurance claim process and work with the customer toward an appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, available insurance coverage, and the nature of the issue, a resolution may include a repair, replacement, refund, or another mutually agreed-upon solution.
All claims and resolutions will be handled in accordance with applicable law and USPS insurance requirements.
Incorrect Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information before their order is shipped.
Please carefully review your shipping address when confirming your order.
If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided, contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue if the package has not yet shipped.
If a package has already been shipped, address changes, returned packages, and additional shipping expenses will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
We cannot guarantee that USPS will be able to redirect a package once it has entered the shipping system.
International Shipping
International shipping may be available upon request.
International orders will be quoted individually based on the destination, package size, weight, insurance availability, and applicable shipping requirements.
Customers purchasing internationally are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other fees imposed by the destination country unless otherwise agreed upon.
International delivery times may vary significantly depending on the destination, customs processing, and postal service conditions.
Full-value insurance must be available for the selected destination and shipping service. We reserve the right to decline international shipping when adequate insurance coverage or reliable shipping options are unavailable.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order may legally be imported into their country.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be arranged by appointment in Northern Utah.
Customers interested in local pickup should contact us before finalizing their order to coordinate a mutually convenient time and location.
Shipping charges do not apply to orders picked up locally.
Full payment must be received before or at the time of pickup, as agreed upon when arranging the order.
Custom Order Shipping
Custom saddle pads are handmade to the customer’s approved specifications.
A $150 nonrefundable deposit is required before work begins. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.
The remaining balance, including applicable shipping and insurance costs, must be paid in full before custom brands, initials, logos, or symbols are added and before the completed saddle pad is shipped.
Estimated production times are provided separately and may vary depending on design complexity, materials, and current order volume.
Customers will be notified when their pad is nearing completion so final payment and shipping arrangements can be made.
